My sister was recently wed to her Love, Mr. Ryan Patman last month in Corbett, Oregon. It was a glorious day and so much fun. So much of my sisters touch could be seen through out the day through the DIY details. I was able to make the bridesmaids sash belts and all the ladies shoe clips. It was a craft I loved doing especially since she absolutely loved them. The day before the wedding we visit a “pick yourself” flower farm and later my cousin put together our bouquets and the mens boutonnieres. The week before we made pom flowers to act as napkin rings that when laid in its place, made the tables pop!! The night before the wedding we also pulled together our creativity and created the pom flower chandelier that hung over the tables in the lit white tent. It all turned out so wonderful. Here are some pictures captures by a dear friend of mine who was able to shoot my sisters wedding. It was her first wedding shoot and she did absolutely amazing work and my sister is so incredibly happy with how it all turned out.

Today @ The Overflow (The Groves High School Youth Group) the “embrace” question was, “what are you most excited for about starting school?”.

Of course, not more than a handful were remotely excited about starting school these next weeks, but my favorite thing is that Im NOT starting school. Its been so nice to see the back to school commercials and realize that I dont have to buy school supplies, register for classes, clean my nursing uniform, or pray away the jitters of starting up yet another semester of school. Ive put my time in-checked that off my list-been there, done that..etc etc.

Just to say Im very happy that school is starting up… just not for me :)

So Im in the middle of not only planning my wedding, but also my beloved older sister Vanessa who is getting married September 18th in Corbett, Oregon!!! So therefore, amongst other reasons {fiance being on the other side of the world for 2 1/2 months}, my wedding planning has been placed “on hold”, but it has not stopped me from gathering ideas so when I can, Ill hopefully know exactly what our wedding day will be like. I love this blog and this photo. Mainly because of those darling little flowers I said you would see in the future! Love them! I really like the simplicty but different textures of this table set up.

Spending the night on the floor in my living room sleeping next to my sweet kitty, “Sunches”-which means “kisses” in dutch. Stevie just calls her “ching-chong”.

How come children never listen to their parents when we say, ” dont play in the streets, its dangerous!”. This little one has been hit before and came away with some scars, but this time Im fearing it could be worse. She keeps stretching her paws towards me. Id like to think its like a little child looking for that reassuring and comforting touch from their momma…

I came in tonight to see her after I got the phone call..I started kissing her and petting her and she started purring and moved her tail a little bit, so shes happy to know im here which of course makes me happy..Im worried about the internal organs and her back legs.

I already prayed over her and her little body. I hope she gets better. I love this little Poosy kitty.

Ive been awake all night, and between watching a movie on hulu and browsing all random websites and blogs I keep running across this little girls story. Of course I had to read into it because the issue is so near and dear to my heart. Going through the blog which chronologically gives events and most recent updates, my heart couldnt help but break and cry out for healing for this little one. Her parents love for her and the Lord is so evident. This makes me so excited to be an Oncology Nurse. To be there for that journey; to be a nurse to provide hope and prayer. What a privilege it will be.

Sweet Daisy, Our Jesus loves you and your family. Nothing is hidden from His sight and nothing out of His complete control. He cares for you and upholds you.
